This Time Our "First Turns" Race Offered Plenty of Snow
03/09/09 - Our ambitious December Lookout race had to be rescheduled because of lack of snow. Not so this time! The conditions were challenging and the members who made the trip had lots of good words for Kasey and his crew for their hard work. Kelli, It's good to see you on the results list again. Ann, Gretchen, and Brad: thanks for your PNSA racing; if you feel like a road trip, don't forget about Bozeman this weekend. My personal thanks to Ann (my excellent RA USSA Official Instructor) for working with the files I sent and (probably) Rick hanging over her shoulder watching how it was done as he'll have to man the computer this weekend at Bozeman. Black & White Challenge was a real...Challenge
03/06/09 - The amount of sponsor prizes were down but that didn't dampen the enthusiasm for the event. Here's hoping we can continue this race series next year. I had hoped to take lots of pictures but my timing duties at Blacktail and my toboggan ride on Saturday put an end to that. I guess I could post the MRI of my knee, but somehow I don't think that's quite the same. PLEASE...If anyone can take picture at Lookout and Bridger it should would spice up this web site.
The results from Black & White Challenge are posted. Congratulations to the class winners and the B&W Challenge winners: Toby Chapman and Jodie Harms. Jodie, what a great way to put paid to all that hard work after your surgery last year.
Finally, thanks to all of you who have asked Rick about me, sent e-mails and cards. Your thoughts and the pain pills have really lifted my spirits! Laurie.
Northern "Don Brooks" Participants Win
03/09/09 - I have the files from PNSA will post the results showing the Northern points this week.
02/20/09 - I'm attempting to get the race files from PNSA so I can post our Northern results and points on our own Results page (check it out...if you don't see all the race results, press "refresh" on your browser). In the mean time, the results are on the PNSA site. Our folks did great. Congratulations on your wins.
Northern Division Championships Change
Because we had to reschedule the Northern points race at Lookout from December to March 7-8, the general consensus from responding members is that the Northern Division Championships should be changed from Whitefish (February 28-March 1) to the Bridger Bowl race (March 14-15). This will allow all race points to be included when determining the overall category winners. Whitefish will still be the conclusion of the Black and White Challenge series and count as race points.. Also note that Bridger Bowl as also been added as a points race. This seemed fitting since it will host the championship ceremonies.
